Amy Sedaris

Amy Sedaris appeared on the July 10, 2006 episode of The Colbert Report for reasons unknown to Stephen; entertainers are usually not booked for the show. Sedaris announced she was starring in a movie with Paul Dinello and Kevin Spacey as Mr. Noblet. The movie, entitled "Strangers with Candy", is a story about a 46 year old freshman who is a boozer, user, and a loser.
Bringing out his charm, Stephen announced that Amy looked great, for her age, and wondered how she kept in shape. She said she tumbled. Stephen asked if she cared to tumble on the show; she agreed. After dragging Tad the Building Manager into the act, (Tad and Stephen tumble a lot as we'll later discover when Stephen "comes out" for not being gay) the trio performs an act worthy of the big top.
Apparently she is not to be confused with the Amy Sedaris who once appeared in an interview with Stephen on the Daily Show. Stephen divulged that she was a former "lover" of his. He also confessed to stalking her and her imaginary boyfriend, "Ricky". Recently, "Ricky" died in a tragic car accident and now Ms. Sedaris lives with his ghost.
