The donkey is the fitting symbol for the Democratic Party. Originally chosen for its admirable characteristics of stubborness and virility, the donkey has since become synonymous with the less-admirable traits of stupidity and decreased virility.

The donkey's predators are the elephant, progress, and the State of Florida.

The donkey population has decreased three-fold in the last several months. It is belived that Stephen Colbert hunted donkeys and fed them to elephants resulting in the increase in elephant population.
