Bill Bradley is a former Senator from New Jersey and candidate in the 2004 Presidential election.

He was Stephen's guest on the April 30, 2007 edition of The Colbert Report.

Bradley and Stephen immediately quarrelled over Stephen bringing the rock to the hoop as he made his way over to the Eagle's Nest. Bradley claimed that Stephen brought the brick, but using his superior basketball skill and knowledge, Stephen put Bradley in his place, arguing that it is in fact, the rock.

Stephen and Bill then argued about The New American Story vs. The Old American Story, with Bradley saying that the old story was a 'we can't do this' attitude in contrast to today's 'can do' attitude. Stepehn wondered why we can't go back to an older story where we beat the Nazis and run everything on coal.
