Case Closed (legal term)

1. a declaration which describes any previously open investigation that is now finished due to one or more of the following conditions:
   1. a verdict is pronounced beyond all doubt
   2. a case so confused by doubt that it is no longer worth trying
   3. when a President calls "nixo-facto" regarding an investigation about him or any member of his administration
