Colin Beavan joined Stephen at the C Desk on the April 9, 2007 edition of The Colbert Report to talk about how he and his New York family are attempting to have no environmental impact. As of his appearance, The Beavans were five months into a year long 'experiment': No toilet paper! No incandescent bulbs! No disposable razors! No planes, trains, automobiles or elevators or shopping for anything new! Its like Gilligan's Island only completely implausible!

Beavan is a fervent tree-hugging anti-consumerist, but he's hoping to write a book which he claims will not use any paper. Which is fine because Stephen won't read it no matter what it's printed on.
