Congress/House/Florida Districts/16
From Wikiality
Florida's 16th District, The Fightin' 16th is rich in the early American history of killing Indians. Between 1817 and 1858 U.S. forces fought 3 wars with the Seminoles over the right to use them as a college mascot.
The Fightin! 16th is also the home to Fort Pierce's Jai Alai matches, in which ball fly at player's faces at up to 175 miles per hour. Speaking of balls flying at faces, the 16th was represented by Mark Foley as late as 10/5/2006.
Dr. Colbert attempted to "Better Know" Representative Foley's district, but could not interview him in person, so Mr. Foley agreed to do his interview live via text message.
Dr. Colbert wanted to ask Representative Foley how big his district was, but due to satellite interference from the sun, was unable to get a clear response.
