On November 29, 2005, California 50th District Representative Randy "Duke" Cunningham, caused Stephen Colbert to cry on The Colbert Report after pleading guilty to taking 2.4 million dollars in bribes from defense contractors.

He was an American hero, a decorated fighter pilot from the Nam. Tom Cruise's character in Top Gun was based on him. He sat on the House Appropriations Committee.

California's 50th is obviously to blame. The 50th district, the Fightin' 50th, should have seen Cunningham's cry for help. Instead, it no longer exists. The 50th was added to the Dead to Me list by Stephen that night.

50th? You're dead to us.

[edit] Name Confusion

Despite what terrorists would have you believe, Duke Cunningham is not the Duke of Cunningham. I don't even know where Cunningham is. Is it in Britain? California maybe?

[edit] The Man Behind The "Menu"

One of the"facts" liberals used to convict The Honorable Congressman Cunningham was the alleged bribe menu, supposedly written on Cunningham's stationary.

The "menu" detailed how much money was needed from contractors for certain types of help.

Mr. Cunningham is a congressman, not a restauranteur! Brent R. Wilkes is the man behind the menu, in factiness, he has been convicted in connection with related stuff]. Proving once again, Mr. Cunningham's constituency has let him down. Starting with Mr. Wilkes of course.
