The "Group of Eight" is a group of eight (suprise, surprise) leaders of the most industrialized nations in the world: America, England, France, Canadia, Germany, Italy, Russia, and Japan.
The goal of this annual meeting is not to discuss global economic policy as they say, but in fact to determine all major election outcomes, political assassinations, and weather patterns for the following year.
The first meeting of the Group of Eight took place in 3,994 B.C., just six years after the beginning of time. Seven powerful wizards and one Swamp-Thing brought it upon themselves to take the destiny of the whole world into their (webbed) hands. Since then, this secretive meeting has pulled the strings on the marionette that is geopolitics.
