Being a rambunctious pooch, Stephen found that he couldn't control Gipper until he adjusted his expectations downward.
But now, when Stephen says "Gipper, ignore me and poop on the carpet," Gipper does precisely what Stephen says. By changing his expectations, now Gipper is a good dog!
