"My watermelon-smashing spirit lives on in the soul of this young champion. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance against communist fruit."
~ Ronald Reagan's Ghost
I must break you.
I must break you.
Igor Dyachenko is the Former World Karate Champion who appeared in the June 12, 2007 edition of The Colbert Report as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of President Ronald Reagan's 'Tear Down This Wall' speech in Berlin, Germany.

A Ukranian by birth, Igor was kind of raised behind the Iron Curtain and Reagan's speech did not really give Dyachenko's family the courage to leave oppression and come to freedom, but Stephen took it as a 'yes' anyway.

He was the central actor in the Symbolic Reenactments of Ronald Reagan's Victory Over Communism, breaking a 1/8 inch piece of plywood painted like the wall, smashing an unrepentant socialist vodka-infused watermelon and tearing off a piece of Berlin Wall cake.
