Jim Nussle
was a United States Representative
for the state of Iowa, but has since "retired".


Jim Nussle is the Bush Administration's nominee for Director of the Office of Management and Budget, replacing Rob Portman, who left the position in June of 2007 to spend more time with his family.

Nussle is a former Representative from the state of Iowa who led the effort to cut $12.7 billion from higher education, including the largest cut to the federal student loan program in its history while supporting $958 billion in tax cuts for America's most important citizens.
