According to the Journal's Web site, “The Journal of Paleolimnology, like the subject itself, is multidisciplinary in nature, and papers are published that are concerned with all aspects (e.g. biological, chemical, physical, geological, etc.) of the reconstruction and interpretation of lake histories.” [1]
The journal is also linked [2] with other heathen abettors such as the International Paleolimnology Association (IPA)[3] and Developments in Paleoenvironmental Research Book Series (DPER)[4]; or as guys around the lake call it, “The Diaper.”
