Limbo
From Wikiality
Limbo (spiritual dance)
- a spiritual dance featuring a stick held aloft by two angels, under which the dancer wiggles.
- When the dance begins, the stick is held at the eye level of the dancer. After each pass beneath it, one of the dancer's sins is forgiven and the stick is lowered for the subsequent pass.
- Once the stick is merely inches above the ground, if the dancer is still able to pass beneath it, his spiritual slate is cleared and entry into heaven is permitted.
The Catholic church has held that "limbo" is where babies go who die without the benefit of the ritual of baptism. But, in 2007, Pope Benedict decided to allow babies to go to Heaven so they could receive their baptism directly from the head baby himself, The Baby Jesus!
