The Maldives are a string of great islands in the Indian Ocean. They are part of Asia. Everybody should visit them.

Dr. Stephen Colbert enjoys vacationing in the Maldives. He has been to those three smallish (but not too small!) islands one time each, and he's been to that big one up there twice. The middle two islands are the runts of the litter and have no reason to exist at all.
