Christians Jesus believeing followers of Christ. In the South they are more violent about their beliefs, resorting to use of the Holy Bible as an offensive weapon. From this grew the term 'Bible Thumper', as a result of Southerns thumping deserving unbelievers on their heads with Bibles.
