[edit] Possible Paul Quote

"As Pastor Paul Barnes said, "Two things on this planet are eternal: God's Word, and people." Our job is to present our bodies as living sacrifices through our military service so those around us may know Him and live with Him for all eternity." from: [1]--WatchTVEatDonutDrinkBeer 01:49, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

The interesting thing about that quote is that if it's from the same Paul Barnes he's involved somehow with OCF "Officer's Christian Fellowship" which is an effort by evangelicals to God up the military. Guess he liked those young men in uniform. I wonder if there's a Jeff Gannon connection--El Payo 02:20, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gay Christian Website

[2] NYT reports:

Justin Lee, a self-described gay evangelical, said many men had written messages to his Web site, gaychristian.net, telling of anguish similar to what Mr. Barnes described. “The church has created a double standard that all of us are sinful and have temptations and need to be open about that — unless you’re gay,” Mr. Lee said.

[edit] Changed Sermon

"Integrity, Sin and Grace" The google cache of Grace Chapel is dated November 6, 2006, the day after Pastor Paul changed his sermon asking for "grace and mercy for sinners - all kinds."--WatchTVEatDonutDrinkBeer 03:13, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
