[edit] Random?

I believe what appears to be random on this page was actually given to us by Our Glorious Stephen.--WatchTVEatDonutDrinkBeer 18:10, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, but I still believe the page reads as too random. There are many ways to cite The Good Doctor and The Font of All Wisdom, in order to avoid the problem of creating a page that can only make sense to people who have seen a particular episode. It's not a question of content, but of context. --thisniss 20:11, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Maybe the removal of the random tag was too premature. As I said, I believe what is on the page is what Dr. Colbert said, it is just as likely my memory pooped-out on this topic...--WatchTVEatDonutDrinkBeer 20:15, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm sure you're right - I was only wanting to say that we should go back and get a quote, or do something to better contextualize what's on this page. It just wants a little clean up to make it seem less out there, imo. We get a lot of pages where folks make up their own connections to the "Colbert mythos" (for lack of a better term), and the Zootrope is becoming a particularly well-worn meme. So I want to be clear when there is some real connection to The Stephen Colbert Experience, versus just another page about "Meerkats are the bears of the Kalahari" or some such. (That's not a suggestion, by the way. Meerkats, if anything, would be the Truthiness Monkeys of the Kalahari. But the Kalahari, if it existed, would be in Africa, so it doesn't, and they don't. End of meme fest.)  ;) --thisniss 20:42, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
I don't believe contexualize is a word...nope, it's red.--WatchTVEatDonutDrinkBeer 20:59, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
