As you can see, she does not speak American, and instead she speak French, that and the fact that she was raised in Canada, and has a (Ph.D.) in experimental psychology, suggests that she does not in fact use her gut in search for truthiness and that makes her a Liberal, which puts her on a brink of notice by Stephen Colbert.
