Definition

By definition, vegans tend to act holier-than-thou, looking down at people who eat meat. Apparently we aren't enlightened enough to hang with these modern herbivores. Ve-Gan means gardener, to garden, house of garden, in Hebrew.

Vegan culture is a complicated mixture of magical rituals and liberal political activism. Some vegans are deeply religous, there are even Jewish and Christian vegans.
